He was almost born in the car

5:30 in the morning on Wednesday the 28th of January Hillary says, "We gotta go, this baby is coming". Jared got the whole family in the car and headed for the Ogden Hospital. He called me and I said that I'd meet him at the hospital. I called Kylie, because she lives in Ogden, and ask her to go to the hospital and get the kids and take them to her house and I would meet her there. Kylie got to the hospital in time to get the kids so Jared could go back in and see the baby be born. Thank you Kylie. Thank you Hillary for holding your legs together for 45 minutes so he wouldn't come out and for going through this life giving experience. Thank you Jared for acting so quickly. And thank you Father in Heaven for such a handsome and healthy baby boy. And also for helping grandma drive to Ogden, in traffic, in the dark, at 5:30 in the morning, without any anxiety.

She's been wanting to do this

Kacie Joe Parke, age 6, having her first ironing lesson. A friend of mine, Maryann Marler instigated a Purple quilt gathering. Several ladies in my ward brought squares of purple fabric. About 7 or 8 of us each gathered up some of everything that was there. We ended up with enough to make a quilt.

Today Kacie and I sewed the squares together. Kacie pressed each square section laying the seams all to one side. Kacie followed a little rhythm and enjoyed the process so much. The next step will be to sew the sections together. They will have to be pressed and then we can put a boarder around the whole thing. Then of course, press that. This will be mine and Kacie's first quilt. We're so excited.

Jackson's Babtisim

What a beautiful day and what an amazing boy. Kevin Jackson Parke, 8 years old, baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. You will always have the help you need with the special gift that was given you by your father. You have the rest of your life to gain greater understanding.

We love you Mr. Jacks.

HIP HIP HURRAY

YES, Dallin took the National Pharmacy Technician test today. He found out that he passed as soon as he turned his papers in. He will receive a certificate from the state in a couple of weeks and then he will be able to find a pharmacy that he wants to work in. I'm proud of you son.
