I'm wiped

I am so not feeling well. Over three weeks ago I got a cold. I thought to myself, I hope that this can just be a cold and then be done. That never happens anymore. I had the cold for a week, it goes and settles in my chest. I stop using my Advair(ashma med) so it doesn't disturb what ever is brewing in my chest. Another week goes by and I find myself in trouble (can't breath) SO I return to using the Advair. Sure enough the goop goes deeper into my lungs. Now my ears and sinuses hurt. I can't get to the doctor so I treat myself to a new antibiotic that I have from before. Another week goes by and I'm not any better. I finally go to the doctor. Both ears, sinuses, bronchial and throat are infected. As you can see, I'm sitting in Johns recliner, under Maxwell's new quilt for his bed. The ladies in his ward tied it for him and I'm binding it. I hardly have the energy to do that. I feel like somethings is clearing up, but I'm not getting better. Well tomorrow is Monday and I have an appointment Tuesday. Maybe I need a shot of Cortisone.

What can I do to improve my immune system?

Sometimes children need their grandma

I spent three days in Rose Park at my daughters house this week. I watch the two little ones on Wednesdays while their mother works at the elementary. The other two days that she works they go to a friends. I committed to watch them all three days this week and when I got to their home I found everybody to be sick. The two older children were home from school sick also. All four children had coughs, running noises, and fevers. There was someone coughing constantly the whole time I was there.

These three days were the best time I've ever spent with all four of them for a good number of hours. They weren't sick enough that they had to lay down all the time, and they weren't well enough to be miserable. They kept me busy all day, but they each took their turn for my attention. They loved the special little things I did for them. And they all returned love to me in a big way.
